Multiple, fully-remote positions available for an OCI Architect.

Skill Requirements:

• Extensive experience with cloud computing, with focus on infrastructure design & automation from the networking layer on up.

• Hands on skills with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic (OCI-C).

• Solutions from other providers, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure etc. are an advantage, especially with PaaS and IaaS.

• Cloud deployment automation experience with tools such as Ansible, Chef and Terraform.

• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise into Cloud, or between Clouds.

• Strong knowledge of networking that includes:

  • Software Defined Networks in cloud environments.

  • Understanding VPN solutions, MPLS and enterprise network equipment like routers, firewalls, and switches.

• Good understanding of general storage technologies, implementation methods and techniques.

• Good understanding of IaaS Compute and operating systems, and compute migration methodologies and implementation techniques.

  • Strong Linux and/or Windows system administration skills.

• Knowledge and understanding of DevOps and cloud computing with hands-on experience in any of the following technologies:

  • GIT, Chef / Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Mezos.

  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, JSON, Python, etc.

• Strong experience with configuring & maintaining the Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems.

• Experience configuring these systems with technologies like Ansible is very desirable.

• Working knowledge of Active Directory.

• Networking and Virtualization expertise With Oracle VM, VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V.

• Background in Oracle on-premise technology products, especially in the area of Oracle Middleware (WebLogic, SOA, BPM), or database (RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate).

• Analysis of cloud strategies, design and development of tools for Oracle products deployment in OCI.

• Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients’ internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployments for Oracle Cloud technology.

• Strong communication skills and ability to convey assessments, recommendations, and results to internal/external teams.

Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Migration and Exadata Specialists to join a team consisting of 2 Oracle ACE Directors and 2 Oracle ACEs.  $5250 signing bonus if the resume received by September 7th 2021.

Zione Solutions has an immediate need for two certified specialists with hands on experience migrating Oracle Database workloads to Exadata and the Oracle Cloud. These positions are remote.

 

Required Skills:

• Oracle OCI Certification

• Hands on Oracle migration to version 12c or above

• Hands on experience with Exadata, ExaCC, and/or ExaCM

• Hands on experience with migration tools such as RMAN, DataPump, Data Guard, and GoldenGate

• DBA-level Linux Administration (not System Admin level)

• Hands on experience performing root cause analysis

• A history of working independently with a significant level of responsibility

• Strong customer-facing communications skills (both oral and written)

 

Value Added Skills:

• Assist with Security & Storage architectures, and design documentation.

• Configuration of the Zero Data Loss Appliances.

• Planning, installation, configuration, and testing for cross-site backups.

• Define standard configurations for the ZDLRA Appliances for availability monitoring, security monitoring, and compliance monitoring.

• Assist with establishing standard platform maintenance procedures (patching, versioning, etc.).

• Integrate new ZDLRA devices into standard build factories and processes.

• Perform proof of technology tests.

• Define testing scenarios, perform tests, and document results.

• Review application storage and backup requirements.

• Review current database requirements, configuration, size, etc.

• Work with the client team to plan migrations from current Storage and backup solution to ZDLRA.

• Testing and migrating customer workloads to ZDLRA.

• Define capacity planning processes & procedures.

• Assist with keeping ZDLRA operational documentation up-to-date.

• Perform daily maintenance for the ZDLRA, including daily health checks.

• Periodically updating daily run books.

• User access provisioning based on defined roles.

• 15+ years of Project Management experience.

• Should have excellent Written/Spoken communication skills.

• Will work with client and technical teams, and stakeholders.

• Experience with traditional Waterfall & Agile methodologies is must.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Projects is required.

• Candidates with active PMP certification are preferred.
